Last update: October 2026 on a sunny afternoon.

A General Update

I am still working at Helvia and living peacefully in my little hometown with my beautiful companion. I am happy with that. I don’t want to live in big cities and, as I grow older, I feel I am attracted more and more to nature and the countryside. Not that I am in the countryside, but to give you an idea. I am in the perfect compromise between my “I wanna go living in the middle of a forest” and my partner “I don’t want to live too far away.” My hometown is also growing more interesting in the last years, with more events and cultural activities and sport events and new shops.

We have a cat now. We found him at the end of December 2025 on our doorsteps. We called him Pepito.

Ah, me and Gioia got engaged in May 2026 and we will marry on May 15th 2027. :)

October is still almost over and we still have warm days and warm evenings. But I can live with this.

Things I did recently

• The wedding preparations are going according to plan. We locked up everything “big”.

Things I am Working On

As someone with more ideas than time or energy to pursue them, this list will be a mess. But anyway, here’s what I’m working on:

• I am sitting on 3 first-draft novels I will have to revise at some point.
  • I have rewritten my second novel, Boss Fight. I am about 40% through the final revision.
• I would like to resume writing on my Italian blog L’Ornitorinco Elegante.
• I’ve finally published a complete redesign of my website!

Things I am Reading

I am reading and another entry of History of Philosophy Without Any Gap. I always love this series.

The complete list of books I am reading is on my StoryGraph profile.

Or you can check the latest ChangeLog.

Things I am Watching

In 2024, I watched almost 200 movies. I rediscovered my movie passion and that I actually have a lot of time for them if I remove all the useless crap I did in their place.

I now watching all Alfred Hitchcock movies.

I am also getting on par with many series such as Silo, Reacher, the new Ted Lasso season and more.

The full real-time list of what I watch is currently on my Letterboxd profile.

Or, once again, check the monthly recap on my latest ChangeLog.

Things I am Playing

I played Control Resonant and I have an in depth opinion in the upcoming October 2026 ChangeLog article. But, in short, not even close to the original one. But I am still running a D&D campaign! That’s great. And I am discovering a lot of solo-RPGs to play.
